HELPSCHOOLS is pleased to announce the 2010 project.We are currently raising fund to help the construction of Boy dormitory for Kong Mung Murng school ,Mae Hong Son,northern Thailand.
Situated close to Baan RakThai,a renown tiny Thai-Chinese village of Mea Hong Son,Kong Mung Murng school offers educational opportunity to children from surrounding village along this border area.The school can be easily reached from the nearest Mae Hong Son airport for 1.5 hours driving.The school consists of 50 students ,a number of which are from different villages.
In addition to the existing girl residence ,the idea of this project is to construct a house for male students that also come from different villages.The estimated budget is 174,979 Baht.With the existing budget of 65,809 Baht,an additional 109,167 Baht need to be raised for this ongoing project.
HELSCHOOLS was initiated in late 2008 by a group of Thai flight attendants working at Cathay Pacific Airways.We aim at providing educational support to less fortunate children and schools that have not been adequately supported by government in rural area of Thailand.We were able to support 4 different schools with a total of over 1000 students in northern part of Thailand in the past 3 years since we start HELPSCHOOLS.
